Last night, December 30, EXILE won the Grand Prix Award / Artist of the Year Award from Japan Record Awards. Japan Record Awards is said to be the Japanese equivalent of Grammy Awards. They won for the song, Someday. Aside from the Grand Prix Award, they won Gold Prize for the same song which was given before the awards ceremony.
EXILE has already 2 Grand Prix Award under their name after they won it last year for Ti Amo.
They finished the show performing Someday with vocal, ATSUSHI’s tearful performance.
Congratulations!

Congrats!
I didn’t watch the show yet but I believe the reason behind ATSUSHI’s tearful performance was because ‘Grand Prix Award’ and/or ‘Gold Prize’ contributed to the songwriter – ATSUSHI himself if it’s equivalent to ‘Song of the year’ – taken from Grammy Awards.
Am I right?

That’s one reason. Another reason is that Atsushi/Hiro said that this year became a hard year with them (the issue of JSB and EXILE merge) so I guess he cried because they were able to overcome those trials and win the award.

Thanks gail for your feedback, it is obvious as you said that they did overcome those trials and other people recognized their work. Until now I didn’t watch his tearful performance yet..what a shameful fangirl! ^_^
Congrats again and again for EXILE!!!
